Brenda S. Chase, 47, state Route 45, Wellsville, was charged Feb. 26 with failure to control after her northbound vehicle reportedly went off the right side of the highway on state Route 45 in Madison Township, struck an embankment, went airborne and struck a utility pole. According to reports, she had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage about her but refused tests at the scene and a blood test. She suffered injuries to her head, arm and face and was taken by STAT MedEvac to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
