Dale H. Gadd, 88
EAST LIVERPOOL - Dale H. Gadd, 88, died late Thursday evening, Feb. 28, 2013 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio following a three week illness.
Mr. Gadd was born in Akron, Ohio on July 1, 1924, son of the late Friend and Leona Butler Gadd.

He was a 1942 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 1962 graduate of Youngstown State University.
A veteran of WWII, he served with the US Army in the European Theatre under General Patton, Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge and received three Bronze Stars.
In 1988, Mr. Gadd retired East Liverpool City Hospital where he had served as the Administrative Director of the laboratory for 35 years.
A member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, he was an elder and deacon. He also volunteered as an associate Chaplain at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was a member of the American Association of Biochemists, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the advisory committee for the Diversified Health Education class at East Liverpool High School.
Surviving at home is his wife, Mary Lou Taylor Gadd, whom he married May 2, 1946.
Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda Blosser and her husband, Russell of Wellsville, Ohio and Beverly Gadd of Columbus, Ohio and her fiance', Gary Miller of Mason, Ohio.
A brother, Gerald L. Gadd of Midland, Pa. also survives along with a nephew, Darrel Locke of East Liverpool, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Locke.
Services are planned for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with retired Pastor Ken Ferguson of Massillon, Ohio officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center following the service.
