A clerk at Smith Oil reported someone in a white truck struck a car in the parking lot at 6:24 a.m. Monday. The report is in the process of being completed.

John Heim was driving on East Lincoln Way when he struck a dumpster sitting on the side of the road in front of 120 W. Lincoln Way at 6:26 a.m. Monday. He was cited for failure to control.

A caller reported on Monday the house on Vine Street behind Smith Oil was littered with junk, and the caller was worried about it attracting rats.

A security alarm went off at the Ohio Edison substation on Pritchard Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Monday. Officers found the locks and gates to be secure.

Janice Exline reported Monday someone obtained access to her new bank account and made three transactions on Amazon.com totaling $120.
