George L. Belisle, 66

NEW MANCHESTER - George L. Belisle, 66 of New Manchester, passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Heritage Valley Beaver after a sudden illness.

George was born on Dec. 11, 1946 in Chicopee, Mass. He was a son of Norman Belisle of Chicopee, Mass.; and the late Blanche Belisle.

He worked at Graham Packaging in Newell as a blow mold technician, and proudly served his country with the US Navy.

George was loved and cherished by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind, gentle manner.

His memory will live on through the many items he made for family and friends in his wood working shop.

An avid golfer, he and his wife loved to attend the Indy 500 each year, and he was and a huge NASCAR fan as well.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his previous wife, Jackie Stewart.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Debbie "Sunshine" Brown Belisle at home; his father, Norman; his daughter, Julie Meredith and her fiance Scott Farley; his son, Jeff Meredith and his wife Michelle; his brother Ed Belisle, and his wife Georgette, and their children, Michelle and Andrew; his grandchildren, Kaysha, Georie, Zaeda, Lyndsey, Duece, Jayde and Seth; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Jenesis.

The Rev. Frank Lewis of the New Cumberland Presbyterian Church will celebrate George's life on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.
