Thanks & Spanks for Feb. 22

February 22, 2013
The Review

SPANKS, writes a reader, to management of a local laundromat for being rude. It's a very poor way to run a business.

THANKS, writes a reader, to the many friends, family and community members who supported and helped make the Friends of Frank benefit dinner a success.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to the East Liverpool High School coaching staff for allowing a varsity basketball player to run laps on the gym floor and in front of the bleachers during the freshman game Feb. 13 at the Fieldhouse.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local department store that didn't honor its policy by not matching the price of an item on sale at another store.

SPANKS, writes a reader, to a local company that evacuated a small portion of its employees during a reported bomb scare, and not the entire workforce.

THANKS, writes a reader, to Payden Potts and friends who took needed supplies to the animal shelter on Gas Valley Road in New Manchester. When most of what we read about young people is the trouble they are in, it is refreshing to know that there are those doing good in the community.

THANKS, writes a reader, to everyone from the ambulance crew, to the doctors and staff that took good care of me on Feb. 12.

THANKS, writes a reader, to those local law enforcement departments that worked together to arrest a suspect in the Glenmoor bank robbery mere minutes after he left the bank. The effort and result show cooperation.
