EAST LIVERPOOL - Tops Ohio 1341 met Feb. 18 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with leader Judy McComas presiding.
The meeting opened with the pledges and roll call. Best loser was Robin Bosco and runner up was Sis Meredith.
Winners of the weekly drawings were weight loss, Meredith; calorie chart, Margaret Jackman; junk food, Dorothy Garn; jackpot, Jean Dinch and 50-50, Peg Barker. Dee Mattern and Darlene Naukam were three times in the losers book. Recognized for attendance were Betty James for 24 weeks and Darla Varney for 72 weeks.
Nine Tops and two Kops remain on the check contest. Janice Hutchin won the travel box.
Barb Kalinowski presented the program on various healthy diet hints. She also gave out some prizes with winners being Nauka, Dinch, Mattern, Sue Van Sickle, Sally Nicholson and Jane Proctor.
The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer. The meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. Mondays. New and former members are welcome to join.
Church Women United
EAST LIVERPOOL The February Executive Board meeting of Church Women United was held at First United Methodist Church.
Women from several area churches were represented.
President Judy Kidder opened the meeting with devotions by reading "Knowing God" by Reismer from the Sisters Bible Study, then scripture reading, and closed with prayer.
Reports were given by the secretary and treasurer.
Money from the UNICEPT boxes was collected and mailed to the national office of UNICEPT.
World Day of Prayer will be observed at 1 p.m. March 1 at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. 5th St. The theme will be "Nothing Separates the Believer from God's Love."
Board members will provide refreshments of cookies, coffee and punch.
Those attending are asked to bring more perishable items for FISH.
The meeting closed with prayer by Kidder.
