TORONTO-Lelon Frank Glasure, age 82 of Toronto passed away after a lengthy illness surrounded by his loving family Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at the home of his daughter Mary Snell.
He was born Nov. 5, 1930 in Toronto, Ohio the son of the late Reverend Lelon R. Glasure and Martha Elizabeth Rawson Glasure.
Mr. Glasure was a member of the Toronto Wesleyan Church and was a graduate of the Jefferson Union High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.
He was retired from the former Hancock Manufacturing Company of Toronto.
Along with his parents, Mr. Glasure was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Louise (Dorand) Glasure and a daughter, Anna Louise Glasure.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Kinest of East Liverpool, Ohio and Mary Snell of Toronto, Ohio; sons, Frank E. Glasure of Toronto, Ohio and Robert L. Glasure of Smithfield, Ohio; sister, Lorena Goddard of Toronto, Ohio; brothers, Wayne Glasure of Charleston, W.Va.; Harold Glasure of Minerva, Ohio and Edward Glasure of Steubenville, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb, 18 at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto.
There will be full Military Honors by the Toronto American Legion Monday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, followed immediately by a celebration service life with Pastor Jared Robison of the Toronto Wesleyan Church.
Mr. Glasure's interment at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
