John Robin Altdoerffer
COLUMBUS - John Robin Altdoerffer, born June 10, 1945, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his residence, in Columbus, Ohio.
A Youngstown, Ohio, native he served as a corpsman with the US Navy during the Vietnam War and later worked as a nurse, a teacher, and a soccer coach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Allan and Eleanor Jane Altdoerffer.
He is survived by his four children: daughter Carrie Fish and husband Chris of Columbus, son Everette Altdoerffer and wife Melissa of Oklahoma City, Okla., daughter Rebekah McQuade and husband Luke of Portland, Ore., and son Cassius Altdoerffer; and his grandchildren, Allison, Luke and Bryn Fish.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date in Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America in his name.
Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service in Worthington, Ohio, handled arrangements.
