After reportedly seeing a vehicle leaving the Heights Manor parking lot at a high rate of speed, an officer stopped the vehicle and found that the license of the driver, Balon C. Cloud, 25, Columbus, was suspended, as was that of his passenger, Anthony W. Crumpton, 27, Columbus. He reported smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle and during a search, found a large amount of "shake" all over the seats and floor as well as a marijuana cigarette and two tear bags underneath the seat. Both Cloud and Crumpton denied the marijuana cigarette was theirs, saying if they'd known it was there, they would have already smoked it, according to reports. Balon was charged with possession of marijuana and driving under suspension, while he and Crumpton were both served with trespassing notices for the housing complex. The vehicle, a rental from Enterprise, was towed, and they were allowed to call a friend to pick them up.
