Jessy L. Goodwin, 33, Wilbert Avenue, was charged with theft after a Walmart employee reported seeing him place a 47-inch television and a 39-inch television in a shopping cart and leave the store without paying for them. He had reportedly cut his hand in the process of removing the TVs, with blood falling all over the floor, according to reports. The next day, he reportedly came back to the store, selected a computer and placed it in a shopping cart, took it to the customer service desk, where he said, "I don't know why you're watching me," before pushing the cart away and leaving the store. After the first incident, East Liverpool City Hospital was asked to report if anyone came to the emergency room with a laceration to the hand, which allowed officers to track Goodwin down. At his apartment, officers reported seeing in plain view the empty box to one of the stolen televisions.
