Richard T. Lowe, 29, Cleveland, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to three counts of trafficking in drugs for selling crack cocaine on three occasions in 2011. He faces up to 36 months in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for April 4.
Two Pennsylvania people pleaded guilty to charges on Friday in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court relating to tampering with coin machines.
Joseph L. Corbett, 38, Kittanning, Pa., pleaded guilty to tampering with coin machines and possession of criminal tools. Court documents state Corbett on Aug. 9, 2011 forced his way into a coin machine in Salineville and has a previous conviction of tampering with coin machines in Trumbull County in 2009. On that date he had in his possession vending machine keys, a pry bar and a screwdriver.
He faces up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Carrie A. Corbett, 35, Kittanning, Pa., pleaded guilty to complicity to tampering with coin machines for assisting Joseph L. Corbett. She faced up to 12 months in prison and a $2,500 fine.
Sentencing in both cases was set for April 8.
Matthew J. Crowl, 34, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 21 months in prison but credited with 277 days served at a sentencing hearing for convictions of possession of heroin and two counts failure to appear on a recognizance bond.
Corey S. Witherow, 26, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to make restitution within one year of his release. Witherow was charged with theft, eight counts of receiving stolen property and eight counts of forgery. Court documents state Witherow in August 2012 stole a pickup truck belonging to Trevor Needham and sold it without his consent at Six Recycling for $300. Additionally, Witherow reportedly wrote eight checks totaling $1,160 from the bank account of his grandmother, Rhea Tedrow, in July and August of 2012.
Adam M. Pierson, 23, Academy Street, Salineville, was sentenced to nine months in prison for breaking and entering after he was found in violation of his probation. Additionally he was ordered to make restitution to the Salineville Carryout, the store he broke a window in order to enter on February 21, 2011. Pierson was credited with 180 days already served.
Dajuan T. Johnson, 20, Bridgeport, pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon and was placed on a five-year intervention in lieu of conviction probation plan. Johnson was found on March 26, 2012 by East Liverpool police with a loaded .32 caliber automatic pistol in his left front pocket.
Jacqueline S. Snyder, 27, Madison Drive, Columbiana, pleaded guilty to four counts of trafficking in drugs and was placed on a five-year intervention in lieu of conviction probation plan. Snyder reportedly was caught selling heroin on Jan. 5, 10 and 17 in 2012, along with March 2, 2012.
