Nelson Clark Jr.
EAST LIVERPOOL - Nelson J. "Sonny" Clark Jr., 62, of Ohio Avenue, passed away 1:38 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 27, 1950, in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Nelson J. Clark Sr. and Edna Bell Browne.
A 1969 graduate of East Liverpool High School, he had been employed in the construction industry at one time.
Survivors include one daughter, Carmen Michelle Clark; four sisters, Amelia Jane Smith of Cleveland, Carol Pearson of East Liverpool, and Rosemarie Loker and Janet "Tookie" Clark, both of Pittsburgh; three brothers, Richard Dorsey of Georgia, Jerry Browne of Denver and Less Browne of Hamilton, Ontario.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Lewis Browne.
A memorial service is set 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Owens of the church officiating.
The Dawson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
