YPSILANTI, Mich. - Janet E. Chadwick, formerly of East Liverpool, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in Ypsilanti, Mich. She was 89.
Born in Van Wert, Ohio, Jan. 16, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Perry M. and Princess Snyder Jerome. A resident of the East Liverpool area most of her life, she worked at the former Charley Hart Account Office until 1982. She was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Octet Card Club.
Her husband, Joseph R. "Joe" Chadwick, died Aug. 4, 2007. The couple married June 19, 1945. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Geis and her husband Ronald of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and a son, James Jerome Chadwick of Woodbridge, N.J.
There are two grandchildren, Christine Marie Ratliff and her husband Dwayne and Grant William Griffith, and his wife Lisa; as well as three great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Ratliff and Kylie Griffith.
Friends may visit Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Mark Dunn will conduct a funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
