WEIRTON - A National Rifle Association Basic Pistol safety course has been scheduled at the Hancock County Sportsmans Association, Weirton.
The 12-hour course will be presented in two parts. One 4-hour session from 6-10 p.m. Friday, March 1 and continuing into an 8-hour session the next morning, 9 a.m. Saturday, March 2.
Fully certified NRA firearms instructors will present this 12-hour course. The class includes lectures, as well as live firing of handguns. This is a nationally accredited course, which is approved by multiple states including West Virginia, Ohio and Florida as a requirement prior to applying for a concealed weapons carry permit. Pre-registration is required due to the limitation of class size, to ensure adequate live firing experience.
