John C. O'Hara, 65

WELLSVILLE-John C. O'Hara, 65 of Idaho Street, Wellsville, Ohio died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at home following a brief illness. He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 15, 1947, the son of the late Charles and Alice B. (Smith) O'Hara. Living his entire life in this area, he worked as a welder at the former Crucible Steel and J & L Steel before his retirement in 2007.

Mr. O'Hara was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School and a member of the Elks Lodge 1040 and the VFW Post 5647. He was very active with the Ham Radio Operators.

He is survived by one daughter: Kelly Townsend and her husband David of Wellsville, Ohio as well as another daughter from Georgia; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Sturm officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 from 4-8 p.m.
