A 17-year-old Marietta boy was charged with domestic violence Saturday night after an incident at his mother's home on Pine Hollow Road in Lisbon. According to reports, deputies responded to a domestic violence report at the home of Melissa and John Anderson, where they could hear yelling and screaming coming from inside. The Andersons said the teen-ager did not want to follow the rules of the home and was taking food into his room, for which they were "getting on his case." They said the boy became enraged, grabbed a shovel as though to attack them, and then shoved Mr. Anderson across the room. They also said he threatened to shoot and stab them, burn down the house and kill officers when they arrived, also grabbing a lighter while making the threats. He then reportedly began kicking Mr. Anderson. The boy advised deputies he was from an abusive home before being taken into custody and transported to the Tobin Center. There was a 14-year-old child in the home at the time of the incident, according to reports.

A 12-year-old boy from the Youth with a Purpose home in Salineville was taken to Tobin Center for assault after a staff member, Benjamin Moore, 22, reported the boy struck him in the genitals after being told to clean a table on which he had spit.

Crystal Thompson, state Route 518, Lisbon, reported a friend she barely knows came to her home to visit with his girlfriend and her friend. The man borrowed $20 from her and after they left, Thompson found all her medications missing.

John Peterbaugh, state Route 9, Hanoverton, reported receiving a call from bestbuysurprise.biz telling him he had won a television, which he learned was a scam. Best Buy officials advised him it was a scam and not to provide the personal information for which he was asked.

Ronald Kuhns, East Third Street, Salem, reported being called by another Salem man he knows who said he was going to kill himself by an East Palestine lake. The man asked Kuhns to contact his wife two hours after his call. Deputies alerted other departments, and the man was located by Pennsylvania State Police and was transported by ambulance to Beaver Medical Center. His car was found by deputies, who said he had affixed hoses from the exhaust through the passenger window.
