Officers arrested an Oakwood Street woman Tuesday after being called twice to remove her from two different properties. Chelsey Beebout, 24, was charged with intoxication after emergency room personnel at East Liverpool City Hospital called to have her removed, saying she was wandering around, interfering with other patients' care. Beebout had been taken to the emergency room by ambulance earlier after officers were called from a residence, where they were told she may have taken pills. Officers reported finding her with slurred speech and barely able to stand on her own.
A mother and daughter were each charged with domestic violence early Wednesday morning after police were called to Woodland Hills on Wilbert Avenue for women screaming in the parking lot. They said Felisha M. Dossantos, 18, Wilbert Avenue, approached them with clumps of hair in her hand, saying, "Look what she did." They learned that the hair was actually extensions and Dossantos said her mother, Augustina Newman, 39, Wilbert Avenue, had pulled it from her head. Newman told officers she learned her daughter was at two East End bars and she told her she didn't need to be there. On the way home in the car, the two began fighting, and when they reached the housing complex, they began screaming and pulling each other's hair, according to reports. Both had visible injuries and were covered with mud and dirt, police reported.
Officers responded to a report of an overdose at a Sixth Street apartment and found a 57-year-old woman unresponsive at the kitchen table. No one present knew what happened but told officers the woman was a heroin user. She was transported to the emergency room but she walked out with an IV still in her arm, police reported.
Timothy N. Redman, 28, no address listed, was charged Wednesday morning with domestic violence and resisting arrest after his wife, Lisa Redman, told police he had come to their Erie Street home and slapped her in the forehead. Mrs. Redman told officers her husband had not stayed at the house in three months and she had asked him to leave, when he struck her. As they attempted to handcuff him, Mr. Redman reportedly began struggling with officers and had to be sprayed with mace in order to be taken into custody. He was transported to the emergency room to be treated for the mace and then was charged and taken to county jail.
