Charlotte G. (Pugh) McDevitt, 84
SALEM - Charlotte G. (Pugh) McDevitt, 84, of Salem died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman. She was born March 9, 1928, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Anderson and Ina (Gonzales) Pugh.
Charlotte was a graduate of East Liverpool High School. In 1980, she and her late husband, Richard, started Insta Copy in Salem before retiring in 1999. She had also been a realtor with Hitching Realty in Canfield and owned the Towne Decorating Shoppe in Canfield. Charlotte was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Salem where she had been a member of the November Circle and was a former deacon. She was also a member of D.A.R. and the Wednesday Morning Bridge Club. Charlotte enjoyed sewing, golfing and reading.

Richard and Charlotte McDevitt
Her husband of 64 years, Richard David McDevitt, whom she married on March 27, 1948, preceded her in death on May 18, 2012. Two brothers, Paul and George Pugh also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter Susan (Bill) Kane of Canfield; a son Doug McDevitt of Salem; a daughter Diane (Larry) Karabin of Canfield; a son Brad McDevitt of Salem; two sisters, Mary Thompson of Calcutta and Ina Mae Wagner of Urbana; seven grandchildren, Shannon (Paul) Pfahler, Kelly (Greg) Williams, Mark Karabin, Timothy Karabin, Evan Brothers, Katie McDevitt, Maggie McDevitt; and four great-grandchildren, Brenna and Patrick Pfahler, Alex DiThomas and Troy Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church in Salem with the Rev. Dr. Meta S. Cramer officiating. Calling hours one hour before at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Longs Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Calcutta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 436 East 2nd Street, Salem, OH 44460.
