William Tharp
RICHMOND-William A. "Bill" Tharp, 67, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Tharp was born April 18, 1945 in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Clyde and Gladys Milliken Tharp.
He was retired from Wheeling-Pitts Steel Corp. Mingo Plant as a scale repairman and was a graduate of T.H.S. class of 1963.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy (Peckens) Tharp of home; his daughter Marla Young of Oxford, Mich.; two sons William K. and Matthew Tharp all of Richmond and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., Toronto, OH. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jeff Proya will provide the service and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
