Wayne Goodballet, 80

EAST LIVERPOOL-Bertrand Wayne Goodballet, age 80, of East Liverpool died at the Heritage Valley Health Center in Beaver, Pa. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.

The son of the late Bert H. and Dorothy (Nichelson) Goodballet, he was born in East Liverpool on July 23, 1932 and had lived his entire life here.

Wayne was employed with the Ohio Department of Transportation as supervisor for construction of new highways for over 30 years retiring in 1994 as a project supervisor. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, Class of 1950, and was a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. He was also a member of Elks Lodge #258 in East Liverpool and the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (McCoy) Goodballet, who he married on June 7, 1952. He is also survived by his children; Bruce W. Goodballet of East Liverpool, Barry Clark Goodballet and his wife, Linda Ann Deshler, of Encinitas, California, Brenda Jo Goodballet and her companion, Cecil McCarron, of Sawyer, Michigan and Brad L. Goodballet and his wife, Kerry, of East Liverpool, Ohio. His grandchildren; Laura Ann Goodballet, Casey Collins and his wife, Rachel, of Encinitas, Ca. and Chelsey Kampfer of Lisbon, Ohio and one great-granddaughter, Harper Collins also of California. He is also survived by a brother, Gerald Goodballet of East Liverpool. He was preceded in death by another brother Donald Goodballet.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Rev. Duane Hetzer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

A time of fellowship for family and friends will follow after service at Elks Lodge #258.

Friends may call at the Calcutta Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where Elks Services will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation or the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
