Esther Jean (Grady) Merriman
EAST LIVERPOOL - Esther Jean (Grady) Merriman, beloved sister, mother, and grandmother, gave up her fight with kidney failure to be with her Heavenly Father on Jan. 22, 2013, at McGee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born on Dec. 17, 1949, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Charles Grady, Okra (Sarge) Owens, and stepfather Presley Owens.
Her survivors include her two sons, Kevin (Allison) Grady of Lisbon and Matthew Merriman of Highlandtown; her daughter, Ashley Merriman of Salineville; and siblings, Mary Grady of Wellsville, George Grady of Alabama, Michael Owens and Tom (Teressa) Owens of East Liverpool, and Connie Owens of North Carolina, as well as her two grandchildren, Carissa and Mitchell Grady. She will be missed by several nieces and nephews along with her Fawcett Apartment family, especially by Ron Woomer, neighbor, helper and friend.

Her greatest pleasures were fishing at Highlandtown Lake, cooking, and sharing with those close to her. Thank you to Dr. Ted Hill, Dr. K. Aggarwal, Dialysis Clinic of East Liverpool, and the caring staff of the fourth floor ICU of Magee Women's Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Rev. Deacon Barbara Fischer of Christ the King Church in Columbiana will celebrate Esther's life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Her family will be present to receive friends from noon-8 p.m. Friday.
