MINERVA - Martha Louise Cowsert, 69, formerly of Hanoverton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Great Trail Care Center in Minerva.
She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., on Aug. 28, 1943. A daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Fern Speer Cowsert, she had attended the Columbiana County Sheltered Workshop until April 1977 when she moved to Hanoverton to care for the late Wilma Dick.
Louise was a member of the Winona United Methodist Church and attended faithfully until her illness.

Martha is survived by a brother Robert Cowsert and his wife Naomi, of Calcutta; a sister, Dianne Cowsert of Lisbon; a niece Beth (Robert) Wells of Jacksonville, Fla.; a nephew Bradley Cowsert of Calcutta; two great-nephews, Christopher and Brandon Wells of Jacksonville, Fla.; one great-niece Shona Cowsert of Wellsville; and two close friends, Sandy Jones and June Neel of Hanoverton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the funeral service at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Hunt of the Oakland Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
