WELLSVILLE - Due to a funeral service, the Wellsville First Christian Church "Bread of Life" Outreach has rescheduled its free bread giveaway to 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

SALINEVILLE - The Southern Local LPOC will be meeting at 3:45 p.m. today in the Elementary Office.

CHESTER - Quaker State Retirees will meet 9 a.m. today at Tom's Country Kitchen.

EAST LIVERPOOL - J&L Colt Strip Retirees will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hoge's Restaurant. All retirees and friends are welcome.

LISBON - Heroes and Halos is conducting the first "Day of Beauty" on Feb. 8, geared toward the parents, care givers or guardians of individuals with Special Needs.

Those chosen receive a free, three-hour "pampering," which includes cutting and styling hair along with a manicure and pedicure. The Cosmetology Department at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center has donated their services to the event.

The purpose of "Day of Beauty," according to a release, "is to give back to those who give so selflessly of their love and devotion to those who need it most."

To submit a nomination, write a short letter explaining who the nominee is and why they should be chosen, along with their age, phone number and address where they can be contacted.

NEWELL - The Newell Lions Club will have a fish fry 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 for fish sandwich or $8 for fish dinner (sandwich, fries, and coleslaw). All sides are $2. Eat-in or Carryout. Delivery available with minimum order. Call 304-387-3413 to place order.

HOOKSTOWN - Little Blue Regional Action Group will meet 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Hookstown American Legion. Lisa Graves Marcucci is guest speaker. She will provide an update on the Coal Ash Bill, the ruling that the Federal Judge made on the first Consent Decree and the second NOI filed against FirstEnergy for violating its NPDES permit.

CHESTER - Oak Glen High School cheerleaders are hosting a fundraiser 3-9:30 p.m. Thursday at Roma's Pizzeria on Route 8 in New Manchester. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the cheerleaders.

WELLSVILLE The Committee to Save Immaculate Conception Church will hold its regular meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the S.O.I.
