A motorist reported seeing a juvenile riding a Power Wheel vehicle on South Beaver Street at 4:36 p.m. Sunday. An officer spoke with the adults and the child, advising him to stay off the road with the toy vehicle.
The sheriff's office relayed receiving a 911 hang-up call from the vicinity of the park-and-ride on state Route 154 at 7 p.m. Sunday. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the source of the call.
Eric Whitmore from county juvenile court called for an officer at 9:42 a.m. Monday after one of the alternative school's teachers was assaulted by a 14-year-old boy, who reportedly punched a Mr. Henderson several times in the face. Chief Mike Abraham said the youth was taken to the county juvenile detention center while the prosecutor's office prepared charges to file.
Police contacted the fire department to alert them about a truck in the ditch at the intersection of Wayne Bridge and Bittner roads at 7:50 p.m. Saturday.
