Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 1-13

Mike Tullis, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, reported at 1:04 p.m. Friday he believes someone used his identity to open an online credit account. He received a call from someone from Cash Net claiming his account was delinquent, but he has no account with the company.

Rebecca Janoski, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported at 8:42 p.m. Friday her daughter heard a noise at 5 a.m. and when they looked outside they didn't see anything, but later that day she found that one of the tires on her vehicle had been slashed and the engine was also not working properly and may have been tampered with.

Frank Baker, United Local High School principal, reported at 2:50 p.m. Friday he received information that a student had a marijuana pipe at school and when he confronted the student, she admitted to having the pipe. She also reportedly admitted to writing a threatening note to two other students over the incident. Nicole M. Linger, 18, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and taken in custody, with other charges pending.
