A forgotten city street

January 13, 2013
The Review

Dear Editor:

I would like to know why the city of East Liverpool seems to forget and neglect the alley which is West Church Lane, when it comes to snow removal and street repairs.

The residents on West Church Lane need to be able to leave their homes for work, the store and church, on a passable and safe street.

We are tax paying residents of the city of East Liverpool and care should be given to our street and neighborhood.

When we recently had the snow storm, I called several city office employees and we did not receive any service from any of them.

The head official of the street department and the mayor need to drive down our street to view the conditions of it with or without a snow fall. It desperately needs repaired - a historical street or not.

We also have a house that has been abandoned for at least five years or more at the end of our street and Monroe that desperately needs torn down, and several calls and visits have been made to the Planning Department of East Liverpool and once again, we have no action.

Please help your concerned city residents to make the city of East Liverpool a more enjoyable, safe and enticing city to live in. It sure is not very attractive at the moment. We need some action.
