Karl F. Walker

SILVER SPRINGS, Md. - Former area resident Karl F. Walker, of Castle Boulevard in Silver Springs, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at his home.

He was born in East Liverpool on Feb. 9, 1940. A son of the late Emery E. and Eileen McConnell Walker, he was valedictorian of the Chester High School Class of 1958. Karl then went on to receive his degree from West Virginia University, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

For many years, Karl had been a teacher at High Point High School in Beltsville, Md. A loyal Washington Redskins fan, he also supported the Renaissance Feral Cat Colony.

He is survived by his two nieces, Linda Nicoles (Jon), and their son Cody, of Chester, and Keri Strosnider of Chester.

Karl was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Strosnider and Linda Lee Walker.

To honor Karl's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Private burial will take place at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.

The Dawson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
