Greene Memorial League results

EAST LIVERPOOL - Kathy's Daycare is leading all teams with nine points in the Greene Memorial Bowling League. Kathy's Daycare is followed in the standings by West End Auto Rental with eight, Ohio Valley Golf and Furniture Guys and Phil Irwin Insurance all have six and Brad's Carpet Cleaning and Ernie's Team both have five. BOHICA rounds out the standings with three. Individually, Joe Davis bowled a high game of 256 with a series of 673, Don Heath bowled a high game of 238 with a series of 619 and Dave Carpenter bowled a high game of 222 with a series of 610. Butch Mattern bowled a game of 233.

Women's bowling tournament Sunday

EAST LIVERPOOL - A Women's No-Tap Tournament will be held at Sunday at Walnut Lanes. Participants bowl four games with their low game being throw out. The entry fee is $25. Anyone interested can sign up by calling 330-385-0176.

Junior League starting again Saturday

Lisbon doubleheader set for Saturday

LISBON - Lisbon High School will play host to a girls' and boys' varsity basketball doubleheader on Saturday as the Blue Devils take on Canton Heritage Christian. The girls' varsity game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys will tip off approximately at 7:30. Heritage Christian has canceled its junior varsity schedule.

Wellsville plays today at home

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville's boys' basketball team's game today against rival Toronto is a home game. The junior varsity will start things at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Wyandot Bowmen Indoor 3-D Shoots

NEW CUMBERLAND -?Wyandot Bowmen Indoor 3-D Shoots will be held at the club's location on Tope Rd. in New Cumberland at 3 p.m. on the following dates:?Sunday, Jan. 13, 20, 27; Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3. Annual T.J.D. Tournament to begin Feb. 25

EAST LIVERPOOL - The 22nd annual T.J.D. Sports 4-6th grade basketball tournament will be held Feb. 25 through March 15 at Westgate School. Flight tournament format with four games guaranteed. Entry fee is $125 and deadline is Feb. 18. For more information, call Steve Dawson at 330-383-3259.

Lisbon Roundball Club holding tournament

Oak Glen alumni basketball game Saturday

NEW MANCHESTER - The Oak Glen Girls and Boys Basketball Boosters will be holding fundraiser alumni games for both women and men Saturday at Oak Glen High School. EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool YMCA will be holding a 5th and 6th Grade Competitive Girls Basketball League. The cost is $100 per team and each team will play eight regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament. Members of each team are not required to be from the same school district. Games will be played on Sundays and start Jan. 13th with a mandatory coaches meeting Sunday. For information, contact the East Liverpool YMCA at 330-385-0663.

MARTINS FERRY - The Martins Ferry Basketball Parents will sponsor a basketball shootout March 1-3 for 5-6th grade boys and girls. All teams guaranteed three games, with a possibility of fourth depending on the number of teams. Entry fee is $75. Games held at MFHS with parking and concessions available.
