In Municipal Court Thursday, Tira A. Douglas, 47, Mapletree Street, was found guilty of prohibitions concerning companion animals and was fined $100, sentenced to 90 days, 87 suspended, and placed on probation two years. She was charged by the county dog warden after she was accused of depriving her dog of food, and the dog was found to be emaciated. For each of two counts of failing to register a dog, she was fined $50. For failure to yield, she was fined $65.
Aleta Straight, 57, St. Clair Avenue, was fined $250, sentenced to 90 days, 87 suspended, had her license suspended 180 days, and was placed on probation two years for driving under suspension. For failure to control, she was fined $25. She had 10 suspended jail days reimposed for a probation violation. They had been imposed for an earlier conviction for OVI and required lights.
Harley D. Wright, 19, Arner Road, Chester, W.Va., was fined $150, sentenced to 30 days, 28 suspended, and placed on probation two years for petty theft.
Aaron M. Pelley, 27, Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, was fined $475, sentenced to 30 days, 27 suspended, had his license suspended 180 days and was placed on probation two years for OVI.
An illegal plates charge was dismissed against Justin M. Buckel, 20, Bloomfield Street.
Michael Defelice, 26, Harding Avenue, was fined $150, sentenced to 90 days, 80 suspended, and placed on probation two years for theft.
Second arraignment was set Jan. 9 for John Lockett III, 36, Railroad Street, charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business. His bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety and he was ordered to have no contact with Kaylee Bailey.
