Lisbon doubleheader set
LISBON - Lisbon High School will play host to a girl/boy varsity basketball doubleheader on Saturday as the Blue Devils take on Canton Heritage Christian.
The girls' varsity game begins at 6 p.m. and the boys will tip off approximately at 7:30.
Heritage Christian has canceled its junior varsity schedule.
Wellsville plays Friday at home
WELLSVILLE - Wellsville's boys' basketball game Friday against rival Toronto is a home game.
The junior varsity will start things at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Beaver frosh falls to JM
GLEN DALE, W.Va. - Sam Kendall had a team-high 10 points and Alex Talbott added 9 as the Beaver Local freshmen girls dropped a 33-32 game Wednesday at John Marshall.

Oak Glen-Beaver Local girls
CALCUTTA - Maisie Witherow scored 14 points and Hannah Clunk added 5 as the Oak Glen 8th grade girls defeated Beaver Local 31-16 on Wednesday. Beaver Local leaders were Taylor Wright and Dakota Heaton.
In 7th grade play, Brooke Reed scored 11 and Kylie Williams had 5 in a 28-10 Oak Glen victory. Alexa Schwerha and Abby Rayl were the leaders for Beaver Local.
Both Golden Bears' teams are 8-0.
Oak Glen plays Monday at Buckeye Local. Beaver Local plays today at Weir.
Wellsville-Lisbon boys
LISBON - Bailey McCullough scored 16 points , Colin Sweeney had 15 and Jay Thompson totaled 14 as the Lisbon 8th grade boys defeated visiting Wellsville 53-38 on Wednesday.
For Wellsville, Grodhouse netted14 points and Dalrymple added 10.
In 7th grade, Wellsville stayed unbeaten at 7-0 with a 27-25 win. Ryan Miller scored 8 points for the Tigers and Brandon Patterson added 6. For Lisbon, Seth Stokes scored 13 points.
Wellsville is home Monday against East Palestine. Lisbon plays Monday at United.
