Ethel Barnhouse

EAST LIVERPOOL - Ethel Conkle Huston Barnhouse, 96, of North Pleasant Drive, went home to be with the Lord at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Covington Community Campus, where she had been a patient.

She was born Aug. 6, 1916 in Rogers, a daughter of the late William C. and Lillie M. Seidel Conkle, Sr. She was a 1934 graduate of East Palestine High School and had last been employed as a ward secretary for the former Salem City Hospital.

She was a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Klare Meek, of East Palestine, three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; three step daughters and a step son.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur Huston, and later Richard Barnhouse, and two step children.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3rd at the Lake Mount Church of Christ, New Waterford, with Tim Postle of the church officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine.
