Theresa "Tess" Rawlings, 71
ESCONDIDO, Calif. - Theresa "Tess" Rawlings, 71, of Escondido passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. Tess was born on Oct. 26, 1941 in Wellsville, Ohio to parents Dominic and Rose Comparetto.
She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1959 and later attended Arapahoe Community College where she taught Court and Conference reporting. She also worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Erickson-Hall Construction in Escondido.
Mrs. Rawlings married Joseph Rawlings on Sept. 28, 1963 in Wellsville.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Monica (Ken) Dickinson, grandsons, Kyle and Zach all of Escondido; daughter, Marcie (David) Money, granddaughters, Meganne, Stephanie and Katelin all of Sugar Land, Texas; son, Mark (Vicki) Rawlings, granddaughter, Elizabeth and grandson, Ian all of Brighton, Colo.; son, Matthew (Wendy) Rawlings, and two grand dogs all of Denver, Colo.; siblings, Mac (Debbie) Comparetto, Delores (Barry) Podwel, Mick (Linda) Comparetto all of Wellsville, Ohio, and Rosemary Comparetto of Sebring, Fla.. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, John Comparetto and Patricia Cook.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido with a Prayer Service to be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Tess's name to the American Brain Tumor Association, www.abta.org. Arrangements are by Alhiser-Comer Mortuary.
