St. Clair Township Police Reports 12-28

December 28, 2012
The Review

Donnie A. Cain, 40, state Route 170, was charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest Wednesday afternoon after police were called for a dispute between him and his 16-year-old son. Cain was leaving, pulling a four-wheeler on a trailer, as officers arrived, and they began to follow him, activating lights and siren. He failed to stop until he reached Duke Road and was advised to drive back to his home. En route, officers said he was driving at an unsafe speed, jack-knifing the trailer and truck at one point to avoid colliding with another vehicle. At his home, Cain reportedly continued to yell at his wife and son. His son told officers his father punched him in the face, and he had visible injuries, according to reports. As an officer attempted to place him under arrest, Cain reportedly said, "I am not going to be arrested today," and began to back away from her, then pushed her as she tried to handcuff him. Other officers including one from Liverpool Township also reported him pushing at them as they intervened. He was dry-stunned three times with a Taser before he finally complied, according to officers, who said he still had to be wrestled to the ground to be handcuffed.
