LISBON - Kenneth C. Eardley, 94, formerly of state Route 45, passed away quietly at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at the St. Mary's Alzheimer Center in Columbiana.
Mr. Eardley was born Sept. 3, 1918, in East Liverpool, a son of the late Fred and Ethel (Crawford) Eardley.
Kenny worked as a funeral director at many funeral homes throughout Ohio, including, Fisher Funeral Home, Dawson Funeral Home, Adams Funeral Home, Marker and Keller Funeral Home, Jamieson Funeral Home, and the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home, where he retired in 2001.
A WWII U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Eardley was a member of the Elks Lodge in East Liverpool, former member of the Lisbon VFW Post 4111; and the American Legion in East Liverpool.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Eardley, and his second wife, Rosemary E. Eardley.
Kenny is survived and will be fondly remembered by his daughters, Janice (Dann) Forsythe of East Liverpool, Judy (Doug) Britton of Blairsville, Georgia, Susan Eardley of Englewood, Fla., and Sandy (Marc) Hice of Clearwater, Fla.; brother, Dr. Jack Eardley of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Matthew Forsythe of Kettering, Ohio, Megan (Charlie) Payne of East Liverpool, Trenton (Danielle) Hice and Adam Hice, both of Clearwater, Fla.
He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ethelyn Jones, Helen Trezise; brothers, Scotty and Dr. Keith Eardley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by the Tri-State Burial Group.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
