Hilda McIntosh Plate

WELLSVILLE - Hilda F. McIntosh Plate, 95 formerly of Wellsville, died on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at the Nentwick Convalescent Center in East Liverpool following a brief illness. She was born in Wellsville on Oct. 9, 1917 and was a daughter of the late Leonard L and Birdie L. (Tice) Fife. She was a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald R. McIntosh; second husband, Joseph L. Plate and nine children.

She is survived by two sons: Marion F. McIntosh of Walbridge, Ohio and Raymond L. McIntosh of Wellsville; one daughter, Agnes McCarron of New Port Richey, Fla.; one step-son, Leonard Plate of Wellsville; one step-daughter: Melody Plate of Lisbon; two sisters: Agnes Hobacher of Marietta and Hazel Joseph of East Liverpool; twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty one great-grandchildren and forty-six great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, with Rev. William Betteridge, retired minister of Riverside Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Wellsville.
