EAST LIVERPOOL - The Rockets flew past the Potters.

The Lowellville boys' and girls' bowling teams earned a sweep Wednesday at East Liverpool.

In the boys' match, the Rockets finished match play with 1679, and in the bakers matches Lowellville bowled 128, 160 and 135 to give the Rockets a total of 2102.

The Potters finished match play with 1400. East Liverpool bowled 174, 160 and 142 in the bakers matches to finish with a total of 1876.

For the Potters, Jacob Graves bowled a career high 216, Parker Bowers bowled a career high 208 and Jim Bundy bowled a 167.

On the girls' side, the Rockets finished match play with 1244. Lowellville bowled 94, 115 and 152 in the bakers matches for a total of 1605.

The Potters finished match play with 1169. East Liverpool bowled 93, 173 and 108 in the bakers matches for a total of 1543.

Individually for the Potters, Becky Brewer bowled a 152, Leighanna Frantz bowled a 129 and Nicole Linkous bowled a 127.

With the two losses, both Potter teams are now 0-3 on the season.

East Liverpool's next match is Dec. 19 against local-rival Wellsville.
