‘Light up’ your holiday season

December 6, 2012
The Review

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season in full swing, what a better time than now to take a break and enjoy what our communities have to offer.

Today, both Calcutta and Wellsville will present their annual "Light Up Night" events.

The Wellsville tradition takes place at 5:30 tonight at the Gazebo.

The Daw Middle School Show Choir will perform and the Snow Flake king and queen will be announced.

The names of those deceased loved ones appearing on bulbs decorating the tree will be read to the crowd.

And Santa Claus is scheduled to make an appearance.

The annual Calcutta "light up" begins at 6 p.m. at Calcutta Square.

Area students, both those in marching band and the chorus, will be part of the evening.

Children also should be able to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus. Pictures with the jolly one will be available immediately following "light up" at the Calcutta YMCA.

We'd encourage the community to attend one of these annual traditions of the Christmas season.
