SEBRING - William Vincent "Vince" Marquette, 98, formerly of South 15th Street, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at the Crandall Medical Center in Sebring at 10:30 p.m. following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 25, 1914 at St. Clairsville, he was a son of the late George B. and Roxie Mayhew Marquette.
He was a retired supervisor and master mechanic in the tin mill at Weirton Steel.
Mr. Marquette was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army Air Force and attended the Sebring Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Bernice "Peggy" Austin Marquette; a daughter, Jill South; and a son, John V. Marquette.
He is survived by a daughter Judy Gentry, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday for one hour prior to the funeral service. The Evangelist Will Montgomery will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
