James A. "Chickie" Fuccy, 71

NEW CUMBERLAND-In his wife's arms and surrounded by his family, James A. "Chickie" Fuccy, 71, of New Cumberland, WV, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at his home, where he was "King of the Castle". Born Sept. 21, 1941 in Washington, Pa, he was a son of the late Albert "Jake" and Lena Mary Rungo Fuccy. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers Michael Anthony and Joseph Fuccy.

A 1959 graduate of New Cumberland High School, Mr. Fuccy was the second generation owner of Fuccy Hauling. He proudly started driving his first Mack Truck in 1956 under the handle "Bull Dog". He was a member of the New Cumberland Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and a proud member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and making people laugh.

Mr. Fuccy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Jane "Janie" Graham Fuccy of New Cumberland; daughters Angie (Gianfranco) Spagnolo of Sarasota, Fla. and Susie (Barry) Strum of Chester, W.Va.; step-daughter Linda Davis and her children of Wheeling, W.Va.; brother Robert Fuccy of Sarasota, Fla. and his beloved grandchildren including Barry, Cassidy, Isabella, Giordana, and Alessandra.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at the New Cumberland Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Eric Antini officiating. Interment will be in Locust Cemetery, Chester.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Hancock County Senior Center.
