Brenda S. Chase, 46, state Route 45, Wellsville, was northbound on state Route 45 in Madison Township at 5:25 p.m. Nov. 5 when she swerved to avoid a deer and went off the right side of the roadway striking a ditch and coming to rest next to a culvert. Chase was cited with OVI and failure to control. She was uninjured.

Kelly A. Spratt, 44, St. Clairsville, hit a deer while driving on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 9:18 p.m. Nov. 4.

Jason A. Clevenger, 29, New Middletown, hit a deer while driving on state Route 164 in Center Township at 11:18 p.m. Nov. 3.

James Pennington, 48, New Castle, Pa., was cited for assured clear distance after the commercial truck he was driving east on state Route 172 reportedly struck the rear of a pickup truck driven by Shirley G. Jordy, 81, Canton. According to reports, Jordy was stopped eastbound, waiting to turn into Hanna Drive when her vehicle was struck. Upon impact, Penningtons truck went off the right side of the roadway, striking a utility pole.

Rudolph Livada, 78, Hookstown, Pa. was eastbound on U.S. Route 30 in Center Township Nov. 19 when he swerved to miss a vehicle driven by Raymond M. Janik, 73, Green Beaver Road, Salem, who was backing from a private drive. Livada's vehicle went off the left side of the road, striking a fence and coming to rest in a field. No charges were reported.
