SEBRING - Audrey R. Butera, 89, of Copeland Oaks, formerly of Wellsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.
She was born May 16, 1923, in Hammond, Ind., the daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Clefford) Rice.
Audrey graduated from Hammond High School in 1941, and attended Wheaton College and Gordon College, where she studied Christian Education. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wellsville, as well as the United Methodist Women. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Audrey was preceded in death on May 22, 1994, by her husband Guy T. Butera, whom she married July 22, 1946.
Survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth "Lisa" Butera of Akron, and Sara Butera-Eddy and her husband Stephen of New Town Square, Pa.; two sons: Jonathan Butera and his wife Linda of Louisville, Ohio, and David Butera and his wife Regina of Bridgeville, Pa.; 10 grandsons: Stephen, Daniel, David, Joseph, Timothy, Mark, Christian, and Peter Butera, and Luke and Joshua Eddy; and two granddaughters: Rachel and Jesse Eddy.
In addition to her parents and husband, Audrey was preceded in death by a brother: Warren Rice.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. G. Richard Riggs officiating.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
