During the weekend Masses on Nov. 2-3 at Holy Trinity Parish, we were given a copy of the letter concerning the reopening of a worship site in Wellsville. After it was read, absolutely no one attending any of the Masses applauded the news. There has never been happiness expressed by any members about the closing of this building or any other Catholic worship site.
Many Catholics in the area have had to adjust to change with the approved merger of the Wellsville and East Liverpool parishes and the closing of St. Ann's in East End. Since then, 59 families from Immaculate Conception have joined Holy Trinity, 22 other families contribute regularly, 28 families have joined Sacred Heart in Chester and others have joined parishes in the surrounding areas. We are very fortunate at this time to still have a Catholic Parish to attend because with the shortage of priests and the aging congregations, there may not be a Catholic Parish in this part of the county in years to come.
As Bishop Murray invited you to join us and become members, so do we.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and celebrate the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and hear the beautiful homilies every week.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and sing along with us as we praise God with our music.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and help us serve a Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, Nov. 20, to all who wish to share the feast.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and celebrate the upcoming Advent Season.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish and celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
Come join Holy Trinity Parish to share the compassion, love, respect and reverence that is shown to our fellow man as we continue the journey God has placed before us.
It doesn't take bricks or mortar to make a faithful Catholic Community and we are open for all who want to join in the love of God that is Holy Trinity Parish.
God is good and continues to shower us with His blessings.
