WORTHINGTON, Ohio - Richard Glenn Wright, 82, was welcomed into heaven Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, 2012, by many loved ones, his wife of 35 years, Louise M. Wright, his second wife of 14 years, Sue Snow Wright, his parents, and sister, Karen Sue Atkinson Bickham; daughter Jennifer Wright and loyal lab companions, Alex and Ralph.
Papa will be dearly missed by his son, Darrah D. Wright of Columbus; daughter, Wendy and Jim Meaney of Columbus; granddaughters, Morganna Meaney of Columbus, and Mallory Meaney of Alexandria, Va.; and a niece Tami L. Atkinson of Charlottesville, Va. He is also survived by son Richard K. Wright.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1948 and Kent State University, Richard served during the Korean Episode in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant. He was the owner and President of Wright Printing. Richard was also a 50 plus member of East Liverpool Lodge No. 626, F. & AM; Community Chapter No. 227 R.A.M.; Zabud Council No. 99, R. & S.M; Columbus Commandery No, 69 Knights Templat, and VFW Post No. 4153.
His sense of humor and goodwill filled any room he entered. He was adored by his family for his compassion and kindness.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at St. Andrew Christian Church, 1985 Swansford Drive, Dublin, OH 43016. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Andrew Christian Church or a Charity of your choice.
