Bowling league results announced

EAST LIVERPOOL - Phil Irwin Insurance leads all teams in the Greene Memorial League with 10 points, followed by Erine's Team 9, Kathy's Daycare 9, The Furniture Guys 8, Ohio Valley Golf 8, Brad's Carpet Cleaning 8, BOHICA 7, and West End Auto Rental 5 points. Joe Davis bowled a high game of 245 with a series of 681, John Diddle bowled a high game of 226 with a series of 638 and Bruce Owens bowled a high game of 224 with a series of 612. Dave Wolfe had a series of 766 last week.

Senior Men's League bowling results

EAST LIVERPOOL - Bo's Team 2 currently leads the Senior Men's League at 29-15. They are followed by Ron's Team 7 (27.5-16.5), Buzz's Team 3 (25.5-18.5), Jack's Team 9 (24-20), Sam's Team 1 (22-22), Dan's Team 8 (20-24), Tom's Team 4 (20-24), Floyd's Team 10 (20-24), Tim's Team 6 (18-26), Herb's Team 5 (14-30). East Liverpool Takedown Club meeting

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool Takedown Club wrestling boosters will meet Nov. 20 in the high school wrestling room. Parents of all wrestlers encouraged to attend. Those with questions should contact coach Drumm at 330-383-9047.

SL Meet the Indians event to be Nov. 28

SALINEVILLE - Meet the Indians will be held Nov 28 at 6 p.m. in the high school gym followed by the mandatory state preseason parent meeting. The following winter passes will be available for purchase following the meeting: adult girls basketball $45; adult boys basketball $45; student pass $20; athlete pass $10; high school family $125; junior/senior high family $170; junior high $15; Senior Citizen passes for those living in the district are available at the superintendent's office.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Columbiana County Basketball Officials Association is holding a meeting Monday. If you are interested in registering to become an offical or for information, contact Rich McConnell at 330-383-3840.

Potter Prime Time being held Wednesday

EAST LIVERPOOL - Potter Prime Time is slated for Wednesday at Potter Fieldhouse. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. East Liverpool basketball teams in grades 7-12 (boys and girls) as well as coaches and cheerleaders will be introduced. The alumni basketball game also returns featuring 20 former boys' players. Many door and raffle prizes will be available.

Potters' selling boys' basketball tickets

EAST LIVERPOOL - Tickets for the East Liverpool boys' basketball 2012-2013 season will be on sale from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Fieldhouse ticket office through Friday and during Potter Primetime Wednesday. The cost of the package is $35 if it is purchased on one of these dates.

Martins Ferry youth b-ball tourney being held

MARTINS FERRY - The Martins Ferry Basketball Parents will once again be sponsoring a youth basketball shootout the weekend of March 1-3, 2013 for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls teams. All teams will be guaranteed three games, with a possibility of a fourth game depending on the number of teams. The entry fee will be $75. Games will be held at Martins Ferry High School with onsite parking and concessions available. Volleyball Club holding tryouts

WARREN - The East Ohio Volleyball?Club is holding tryouts Sunday at the Warren YMCA. Boxing back at MTR on Dec. 1

CHESTER - Former world champ Paul "The Pittsburgh Kid" Spadafora (46-0-1, 19KOs) will headline a boxing card at The Harv at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort on Dec. 1. The event is presented by 8-time world champ Roy Jones Jr. in association with TNT Promotions. In the co-feature is Youngstown's Jake "The Bull" Giuriceo (16-1-1, 3KOs). Other fighters scheduled include Billy "Hutch" Hutchinson (4-1-D, 2KOs), "Big Chief" Morgan Fitch (7-0, 3KOs), the pro boxing debut of MMA favorite Joey "The Jack Hammer" Holt, of East Liverpool, a special prelude amateur bout with Steubenville's Angelo Magnone and more to be announced.
