EAST LIVERPOOL-A sport-utility vehicle that drove into the front of East Liverpool City Hospital on Tuesday did damage to an office of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department, a hospital spokesman said.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee apparently went forward instead of backward from a handicapped parking spot. The accident did not interrupt hospital operations, said Rob Steiskal, communications manager. The doctor who was in the office at the time, Matthew Suffoletto, a cardiologist with UPMC, was not injured, Steiskal said.
