Marian Hales
EAST LIVERPOOL -Marian R. Hales, passed away unexpectedly at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at UPMC Passavant in McCandless, Pa. She was 85.
Mrs. Hales was born in East Liverpool on June 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Lois R. Allison Pittenger. She was a 1945 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Mrs. Hales was a retired school teacher and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, John B. "Jack" Hales and her brother, James E. Pittenger.
Surviving are a son and a daughter: John A. Hales of East Liverpool, and Rebecca Ann Motchenbaugh, of Aurora, Colo. There are two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
