Melissa S. Mills, 28, West Pershing Street, Salem, was sentenced in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center for receiving stolen property and forgery. Court documents state Mills took a check from Brittany N. Adair on April 18 and forged it in an attempt to cash it.

Allan W. Murphy III, 20, East Martin Street, East Palestine, pleaded guilty to burglary. He faced up to a 36-month prison term and a fine of $10,000. Sentencing is set for Jan. 11. Murphy reportedly went into the home of Geraldine Tanchuk and Jade Eichler, East Taggart Street, while they were asleep in the house, in an attempt to steal a laptop computer and cellular phone.

Jason D. Mullins, 28, North Union Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to six counts of trafficking in drugs. He faces up to $32,500 in fines and a 10-year prison sentence. Sentencing is set for Jan. 11. According to court documents, Mullins offered on four different occasions to sell different combinations of drugs to confidential informants - cocaine, marijuana and Mythylone.

Melissa L. Mills, 28, West Pershing Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary and two counts of burglary. She faces up to nine years in prison and a $30,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Jan. 11. Court documents state Mills committed burglary into the homes of Loretta Wyatt, Aetna Street, Salem, on April 11 and Christopher Girty, North Broadway, Salem, on Feb. 17. Then she attempted a burglary while on Paul Taylor's property, East Fourth Street, Salem.
