Information was sent to the law director for possible charges against the estranged husband of Belinda Smith, St. Clair Avenue, who reported they argued and he grabbed her by the throat, pinned her to the ground, struck her in the eye and knocked things off the wall. He lives with his mother in Rogers.

Cheryl Vranesevich, Minerva Street, reported a man she knows may be using her Social Security number to obtain utilities in Massillon, although she has no proof. A friend advised her of the situation.

Cheryl Camerlin, Center Street reported at 6:43 p.m. Sunday her 73-year-old mother had left at noon to drive to a family member's home in New Martinsville, W.Va. and had not been heard from since. She reported her mother has been diagnosed with dementia. Police in Wheeling, W.Va., later reported finding Camerlin's mother driving the wrong way on state Route 2.

Myrtlene Satterfield, West Sixth Street, reported she received a phone call from someone claiming to be her grandson, saying he was in jail. Another person then asked for information about her debit card, which she offered up. She was advised by police to cancel her bank account and watch for unauthorized transactions.

Lerry Keeder reported his vehicle struck in the Salvation Army parking lot by vehicle owned by Betty Cosgrove. Cosgrove denied hitting his vehicle. Their ages and addresses were not reported.

Tiffany Lucas, address not reported, said she left a load of laundry in the St. Clair Avenue Laundromat and, when she returned, it was gone.

Nicole Moman, Pope Street, returned home to find it ransacked and all her televisions as well as a Playstation system gone.

After hearing a noise, Michael Russell, St. Clair Avenue, found his vehicle had been struck by a beer bottle.

Called to North Shady Lane for a vandalism report, officers spoke with Samantha Dawson, who said the paint on her father's car was scratched and a tire was flattened. A witness reported seeing a woman scratching the car and yelled, causing her to run off. Officers spoke to the woman Dawson suspected, and the investigation is continuing.

Nancy Barlow, Thompson Avenue, reported the entire length of her vehicle scratched to the bare metal.

While pulling in to park in a West Fourth Street parking lot, Katrina C. Earley, 54, Hazel Run Road, Hammondsville reported her engine "raced," and struck the front of a parked vehicle owned by Jeffery A. Smith, state Route 164, Salineville.

George McGaffic, Sunnyside Avenue, reported his vehicle was struck while parked on Sunnyside Avenue.

While northbound on St. Clair Avenue, Brenda S. Clark, 41, West Sixth Street, struck a deer.

Officers reported seeing Anthony G. Sanchez, 38, Haywood Street, driving at a high rate of speed on Pennsylvania Avenue. When stopped, he reportedly had an open container of beer in the vehicle and was cited for open container in a motor vehicle.
