12:01 a.m. - Police were dispatched to state Route 45 near McKee Road for a deer struck by a vehicle. The driver, Marvin Hostetter, 61, said he was driving east on Route 45 when his 2007 GMC Sierra struck the deer. No injuries were reported. The officer put down the buck, which was still alive by the side of the road with both hind legs broken.
Oct. 26
6:27 a.m. - Police were called to 2026 Clark Ave., for a theft. Resident James Thirtyacre said there were 50 new tires in the back of his truck, which he had parked outside at 4:50 p.m., and which were still there as of 9 p.m. This morning, however, approximately 14 were missing from the load.
6:14 p.m. - Officers received a theft complaint from Ranae Eastham, 604 Tiger Drive, who said a rubber bracelet had been stolen from her 11-year-old nephew by a 13-year-old. Eastham and the victim's mother, Amber Moody, 1009 Commerce St., said the suspect had also stolen a science project from the victim, who had been able to retrieve it. When questioned by police, the suspect admitted to the theft. He was placed under house arrest and turned over to his grandmother and guardian, Gretchen Hunter.
8:50 p.m. - Police received a report of harassment from Roxanne Lucas, 1616 Chester Ave., against her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Caroseillo of 1121 Hill Crest Road, who used to live with her. Lucas played a voice message of a male, who she claims to be Caroseillo, threatening to damage her property.
Oct. 21
2:35 a.m. - Officers responded to Tony's Place, 209 Third St., to help disperse patrons who would not leave for closing time. While clearing out the crowd, Chad Hanlon resisted, continued to drink his beer and told the crowd that they didn't have to leave if they didn't want to. Police spoke to Hanlon and repeated their request for him to leave. After continued resistance, he was placed under arrest and taken out to the police cruiser, where he explained that he had just ordered his beer before they arrived and only wanted to finish it. He was charged with disorderly conduct.
Oct. 19
11:46 p.m. - Following investigation of an alleged underage drinking party at 346 Lisbon St., several juveniles fled from the property. One was subsequently located on the front porch of a Commerce Street home. After arresting him and placing him in the back of their cruiser, officers noticed him moving around suspiciously. A subsequent pat-down of the suspect revealed a digital scale in his underwear, along with a bag of suspected marijuana and $222 cash. Following processing, he was released to his mother. Eventually, 14 juveniles from the party were placed under house arrest, and seven adults present at the party were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They include: Mitchell McDowell, Dawn Johnson, Kayla Wolfe, Joseph Hall, Tylar Medeiros, William Shilot and Sean Hudson III.
