WELLSVILLE - Tops 1957 met on Oct. 23rd with leader Connie Hissam opening the meeting with roll call, pledges followed by Dee Davis leading the group in prayer.
The Tops weekly best loser was Linda Haynes and Kops best loser was Verla Betteridge. Lisa Ceneviva wore the officer's ribbon. Ceneviva and Betteridge also had three weeks with no weight gain. Betteridge won the dimes and Barb Tranter won the 50/50 drawing.
Alice Eckstein won the calorie chart drawing. Ten weight loss slips were turned in by Linda Seevers, Diane Carnegie and Judi Blazer.
The no no's for the week are cookies and ice cream.
A birthday card shower was held for Mary Wolf and Donna Lee.
Next week the group will have a Halloween party at 6 p.m. There will be prizes for the cutest, most scary and most original and there will be outside judges.
The group that went to rally had a wonderful time and won awards for the best poster contest. Connie thanked all who helped with the preparations for the rally and also encouraged the group to think about going to the State Recognition Day that will be held in Akron on Mary 3rd and 4th. There will be more information at a later date.
Donna Hawksworth gave a program on Flexibility and tips for safe stretching.
The meeting was adjourned by leader Hissam having the group hold hands and singing.
Radical Rosie's Red Hats
CHESTER - The Tri-State Radical Rosie's Red Hats met Oct. 27, at the Adrian's Restaurant in Calcutta for their annual Halloween party.
Best Costumes were Nora Suit - Peacock Lady; Nancy Shenton - Purple People Eater and Donna Stevens - Wanda Witch.
Donations for the Salvation Army Food Pantry were collected. Lillian Baily and Stevens will deliver them. A card was signed for Red Hatter, Jean Hanlon, who is having surgery.
Halloween cookies and candy were enjoyed by all.
Door prizes were won by Mary Carter, Mary Murray, Penny Gibbs and Nora Suit. Members were invited to Church Women United World Community Day at 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at Campground Community Church. Pastor Tom Adkins will be the speaker.
The next meeting will be a Christmas Party at noon, Dec. 1 at Adrian's Restaurant with special music and surprises.
